Refresh your network

  • Check if it is a bad service issue? Check your reception and try refreshing it. To do this put your phone on airplane mode and switch off the airplane mode.

Clear the Cache

  • Try clearing the phone cache. Often this solves the problem.
  • If it doesn’t work, go to the messaging app and clear the app cache. Now would be a good time to backup your messages if you haven’t done it already.
  • Go to settings and open the application.
  • Search for app info and open it.
  • You’ll see clear data and clear cache. I’d suggest clearing the cache and then restart the app.

Check Contacts you’ve blocked

  • If you’re sure you’re not getting SMS but the other person is sending them, check your blocked contacts list. Go to your calling app settings and find blocked contacts there. Unblock if you’ve blocked them.

Reboot Your Phone

  • Often there could be an endless loop in your read-only memory which is only temporary; rebooting your phone can be an option. This kind of refreshes your phone and either terminates some ongoing operations or restart them again.

Check for Bug Updates

If none of the above works it’s time for a bug check. Some bugs can be causing the problem, so check for App updates and OS updates. It’s always good to stay up to date; new versions come with bug fixes.download.png

Talk to service helpline

If nothing of the above works I suggest you talk to your service provider and find if it has something to do from their side.
